It seems an age since I last updated the blog. Winter is always a bit quieter on the photography front - well who wants to sit on soggy grass and smile while the wind is howling around! That said I have had a few sessions including a newborn and a new Watch Me Grow client. Both clients opted for no photos online so I can't share them with you but needless to say both were adorable! I am always aware that some parents do not want their children's photos, however cute, up on the internet and it is not a prerequisite of booking a session with me. My contract states that I have permission to use the images in my own promotion online but I am more than willing to remove this clause if requested so please do mention it if this is important to you.
I always use the quieter months to clean up my files and clear some older images from my hard drive. I always keep the original and edited images from my sessions for at least one year, but after that I cannot guarantee I will still have your images so please remember to back them up in a couple of places. I also only keep the downloadable files in my Dropbox for a year or so and again would remind everyone to ensure you have downloaded them to your own computer or Dropbox account.
I have also had time to think about the sessions I offer, whether or not I am providing what clients want, and if I have any other options. This year with the arrival of my granddaughter I have less available time for long sessions such as newborns. I am also aware that parents sometimes struggle to get out to me within the ideal 2-weeks old timeframe for the more 'posed' shots. This, along with my increasing preference for more natural baby images, has led me to change my Newborns by Trudie Davidson Photography service and I am now only offering a new Natural Newborn session. This new session will take place in the baby's home and can be used up to around 6 weeks.
I am already taking bookings for the Easter holidays so if you might be interested in a session around this time please do get in contact soon as there is only limited availability.
Thank you again for all your support and I hope to see some of you in 2016.
